Volker Albus

Volker Albus has been Professor of Product Design at the National Academy of Design in Karlsruhe since 1994. As a trained architect he is amongst the most significant protagonists of New German Design and as their spokesman he curates exhibitions and publishes regularly in the “form” magazine and other specialist media. At present he is involved, together with Olaf Schroeder and Sabine Wald, in the “Fusspall total” project.

Robert Bauer

Robert Bauer is a university professor at the Institute of Management of the Johannes Kepler University in Linz and has been visiting professor at the famous Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, the leading Canadian Economics University which caused an international sensation with its “Businessdesign” approach to education.

Matthias Dietz

Matthias Dietz, industrial designer, is managing partner at Schindler Parent Identity, Berlin. The corporate branding agency (ranked no. 7 by Page in 2004) works for the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute, Daimler Chrysler, Mitsubishi-Fuso and the “manufactum” magazine. He is responsible for the publication of design books („Wabi-sabi“ and „SED - Schönes Einheits Design“) and the organization of design exhibitions („Berliner Schubladen“, etc.).

Lilli Hollein

 Lilli Hollein has worked as a curator, author and journalist with a focus on architecture and design since 1996:

 

2007 commissioner for the Austrian contribution to the 7th Architecture Biennale in Sao Paulo “feld72–urbanism for sale“

2005 Galerie Aedes East, Berlin and 2006 Zumtobel Vienna “AustriArchitektur“.

2002 “Memphis–Kunst/Kitsch/Kult“, Designzone Looshaus and Kunsthalle Krems

 

She studied industrial design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (graduation in 1999). Lilli Hollein has authored numerous books and articles for art catalogues; she is member of several prize and grant awarding juries and chairwoman of the KÖR jury/Kunst im öffentlichen Raum Wien

2010-2013 Together with Tulga Beyerle and Thomas Geisler she established the “Neigungsgruppe Design” which initiated the conferences “D06–Zeitzonen” in 2006 and “D07–Die Mitte” in 2007 at the University of Applied Arts Vienna as well as the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK for which she acts as director together with Tulga Beyerle.

Christophe Marchand

Christophe Marchand, designer from Zurich. After training as a carpenter he studied industrial design at the Technical University of Art and Design in Zurich. Following this he opened a design studio for product development. His clients include Alias, Classicon, Eternit, Thonet, Wogg, Ycami and Zanotta. His products have been awarded numerous international prizes.

Christian Schwamkrug

Christian Schwamkrug has been working for the Porsche Design Studio since 1987, and since 2004 he has been deputy business manager of the Porsche Design Studio in Zell am See. Before joining the Porsche Design Studio he studied industrial design at the University of Wuppertal and worked as freelancer for various design studios.
